Media Launch: A Pack of Bloody Animals: The Walsh Street murders revisited

11am Monday November 14 at The Hatton Hotel, 65 Park Street, South Yarra

With legislation overturning protection against double jeopardy now before the Victorian Parliament and a retrial of the Walsh Street murders touted for next year, A Pack of Bloody Animals: The Walsh Street murders revisited, is a book whose publication on November 14 could not have been more timely.

The legislation could result in new trials for Anthony Farrell, Trevor Pettingill, and Peter McEvoy who were acquitted of the murders in 1991. (The fourth accused, Victor Peirce, was gunned down in Port Melbourne in 2002).

Hear from authors John Kerr and Ray Mooney who argue that two of the accused are not guilty. Their case draws on interviews that Mooney undertook with Peter McEvoy, Wendy Pierce and the late Victor Peirce in 1991 for a documentary.

Copies of the interviews with Victor and Wendy Pierce will be distributed.
